The world is a den of thieves and night is falling.
[Evil breaks its chain and runs through the world like a mad dog.]
And the night they pass, no one escapes. [Not even us.]

Dedicated: Sol, oh, you know why!
I wanted to make a really quick card but I ended up taking forever on it. Mostly because I couldn't think of anything to put on it and despite how little is has, it's a mixture of a lot of things. For one, the quote is a jumble I put together while listening to some of my favourite homegrown artists, In the Pines. They have an instrumental track on their debut album called The Night They Pass and for some reason, I've always liked that title. The track is beautiful too, but the title is what entices my mind and sends it reeling. Also, the first sentence "The world is a den of thieves and night is falling" is the opening line to the epilogue of a beautiful film called Fanny Och Alexander. It would take too long to tell you about the film but the speech that Uncle Gusten gives at the end always gives me a bittersweet feeling. It's sort of a dark, depressing speech but when he mentions the babies and how "they'll prove everything I just said wrong," I get all teary eyed. As for the picture, it's (of course) from Supernatural but the cinematography was so beautiful I just had to steal it and make it a card! And, I don't know why, but when I started making the card, it started reminding me more and more of a book cover. So, I eventually ran away with the idea and decided that I wanted it to stand alone like that. I tried to look at it as if I knew nothing of Supernatural or Sam and Dean, that way it could just look like a promo or cover for a CD or book or something. I don't know if I got away with it, but hell, I'm tired I tried. Either way, I hope you all like it.
