The original drawing is much better.

I think an important thing for you to learn before trying any other pictures would be basic proportions. Also smoothing out lines, drawing weapons, clothes, limbs, hair...basically whatever you know about art now, throw it out and relearn everything. The shadowing is decent considering the picture.
