It must of been. Right i am about to fill an improve meme that documents drawings from 2003 to 2009. Just have to look for drawings from back then.

Thats true! It was fun to do as well!
Yes you should!! I remember seeing those memes of before+after and I thought of maybe even making a challenge about it. It would be neat to see more people do this!
No Problem Manga! I think this was a great way for you to see a difference. I think the improvements are notable once the drawing are put side to side like this.
I think these before/after things are neat, I have been wanting to try something like this myself, but I'm so lazy. lol
^//_//^ Thankyou Toya!! I'm so glad u see the differences!! I actually wasn't that happy with sketch #2 until I put them both side by side and saw what the compared too! It was very interesting to do!
Thanks! EEEE I'm so excited right now! I really appreciate it and also all of your nice comments you've given me!! ^^
Thankyou Panou-chan!!!!! ^_^ I'm so glad you see the style change!! Thats the biggest thing i worked on over the past half-year... trying to get a consistent style O_O so I'm really happy about that!
Thanks for all your encouragement, it means so much to me!! <3
Thankyou so much, Kita!! *does a happy dance with you* xD I'm sure you've improved as well... I love your style and recent artworks, so keep it up too!! :)
Whooo!!! this is so cool! XD I can see the differences! I think you did a wonderful job on this.
You really did really improved in just one year of drawing manga characters. I can also see your style in the 2nd one. I like the first, but in the 2nd one I feel like theres more feeling to that guy.
Thanks Anna! Yeah I'm thinking the netaer lines have to do with confidence and being more precise too, so I'm happy about that! Its thanks to all your nice encouraging comments too!
AH I use a .5 mechanical pencil so the lead is pretty thin and doesn't wear down like a wood pencil. It works better when i keep my hand anchored somewhere like contacting the paper and then just use my fingers to direct the pencil x)
LOL hahah thats funny and true xD Lol I got frustrated and just drew it randomly xD hahaha Hands are so hard sometimes!!
Thankyou SO much, dear friend!! <3

You've improved so much in one year, Jen! xD The left seems like a typical shoujo-y style to me, but the right definitely shows your unique style which I totally LOVE! xD
Don't get discouraged and know that you'll always be improving bit by bit! ^^b It definitely showed here!

Wow, that's great! I can see the improvement in so many areas! *does happy dance*
Tea pixie (Otaku Eternal) | Posted 10/10/12 | Reply
I like both of them XD but I agree that your latest one seems neater, more defined. How do you get your cross-hatching lines so neat? o_o
...His hand reminds me of a spider though... Hehe, sorry >.< but the shape of the fingers is nice. My hands tend to look like sausage stumps bahahaha!
Well done with your improvements! You've come a long way and you do a great job inspiring others *smiles*

Thankyou so much, Artie!!! ^_^
Definitely! The facial expression and features especially. Both are good though so way to go Jen
Thankyou very much, Judai!! ^_^ I'm glad you think so! I'm glad you like both artworks too... I can still improve but it really makes me feel good to know that you think I've improved!! Thanks my friend! The boy on the right is more proportionate I believe^^ And I've been working on my style a lot so I'm glad u like him! <3

You've really improved in your art. I mean I can tell you've come a long way over the course of a year. Very nice art on both sides. I like it a lot. The boy on the right has more personality. I can tell he has more details and more work was put into it, I feel the right boy is really good and I definitely think you've improved a hell of a lot. Great job. I hope to see more amazing art from you in the future ^^.
Ah I see! Makes sense, I can see that as well.. I think maybe the one of the left is more shounen too, instead of shoujo-y, so its more structured as opposed to flowery like u said. Thanks my friend! ^^ I like hearing from ya!
On th eleeft one his eyes were more squared. Most of the figure on the left was better constructed. The one on the right was a bit more detailed than constructed. It's all around a good work, but I like the original.
Lolz! pray tell why? :)
I like the first one better.
Thanks for your run down, Stormy!! Thats awesome, thanks for taking the time to leave a great comment too! I'm glad you notice improvements in way of clothing and proportion!
Thats very interesting! I had the same feeling when it came to emotion on the face... seems like 2011 has more of it! I thought that I did better on facial/eye proportion in 2012, but I'm glad u mentioned that! Thanks again, my friend! I'll do my best! >:D
I definitely see some improvement, Jen! Especially the way you draw clothes. The 2012 sample's tie looks really good. (Don't know why that's the major thing I noticed. xD) Your proportions are also much better now.
One thing that your 2011 sample had that was better, in my opinion, was the eye position and overall expression. But when comparing the pros of the two, your 2012 shows more technical competence. And I'm sure that you'll get even better and better! =]
