You actually don't have to look far. They talk about it on tumblr. They're both different in their own ways. I think you can still find the first episode on iTunes for free.
I will! and I think its funny that there is a little feud going on between fans of those series xD I can just imagine those hard-core fans from each Sherlock and Elementary debating on which one is better. xD
Oh yeah! I heard of Elementary, I think I saw a bit of it on TV but it was in the middle of an episode so I had no clue what was happening, but I'll have to check it out as well :D Hahaha thats funny tho!
That's good! I've still only seen the first episode. Have you heard of Elementary? It's an modern Sherlock Hollmes in ny. I recommend it! There's been a feud between the Sherlock and Elementary fandom so they refuse to watch Elementary, but I hope you give it a chance.
Kyaaaaaaa thankyou, Anna!!! ^3^ I'm so happy!! Thanks for ur positive feedback too, I'm more satisfied with the paint style as well... So true! I've almost felt like going back and fixing up my old 'smooth' paintings xD haha I'm much happier with the tools I'm using now, such as the brush and not using the blend tool as much :P
Yup! I should almost do a tutorial for fun.. but what I do is sketch the face of my subject digitally a couple of times until I'm ready to start painting. Then I separate parts like skin, clothing, and hair onto separate layers. I also sometimes put the eyes on a separate layer too until they are good enough to be merged with the skin layer :) I think my Legolas painting had the most layers, almost 10.. but this Hobbit one only had 3 plus the background layer.
Thankyou again!!!! <3
Hey Dearbhla!! Thankyou so much <3 I'm glad u think so!! OH I got ur swapnote, and ur family in mii-style is so cute! I need to do that and send u a pic as well ;)
Thanks my friend!! I'm having a blast drawing realistically... actually its more like just coloring since there aren't many lines :P haha But thankyou, I'll continue doing more~
LOL That just made me laugh XD But yea, I'm smiling like him hahahaha! You always make me so happy with ur comments ^_^
For sure! OH I always feel like chickening out when I start my realism drawings but then they get addicting haha xP
lol in a way the guy in your icon right now is doing that when he says "HI"! XD so you are smiling wide!!!
I'm going to see if I can experiment a little, but not with realism though, I'm to chicken to try that. OTL but I'm looking forward to working on something!
This is the best of your realism pictures yet! <333 I really like how you drew his hair. You really managed to make this look painted, I really think that improves this style a lot! Like with the Sherlock picture, it was really amazing, but a little too smooth in areas.
Do you paint things on separate layers in SAI? Whichever way you do things, you are fantastic :D
EDIT: I should stop saying 'really' so often XD

*reads comment, pokes hole in her now overinflated ego* You flatter me too much xD
Anyway, I'm glad you could get something out of my comment. I know it's a hard balance to get between confidence and realizing there's room to improve so I didn't want to sound too adamant.
Really Good O3O it does look more like a painting too, so, NICE WORK! They're all good tho x) ...haven't seen the hobbit but I don't really care too personally x) His hair looks cool! lol
Kyaaaaaaa you should see ME right now, after reading ur awesome comment... I'm freaking out too cuz I'm so happy!!! Thankyou so much Cupcake-chan!!!!
wanna share some sugar with me? teehee ^u^
I wish I could really do a big smiley icon here cuz I'm smiling so much right now haha xD Thanks Toya!!!
Ya u should try it out, I usually don't like experimenting in case I get out of my comfort zone but I'm glad I did!
I shall look forward to see what you do next! XD it's exciting! Oh yeah! changing the brushes would make different effects! I really need to experiment, but I'm so lazy. OTL
Yay!! Thankyou, Sindar-chan!! It was so fun to do and it really means a lot to know that you like it!! asahfjdaklhfa I'm so happy right now!!! Thankyou so uch always for your kind words ^__________^
LOL Every one of your comments make me smile, Bonnie... each smile is bigger then the last!! ^_______^ And you always inspire me so thankyou SO much!!!!!!! *HUGS*
Thankyou again!! I'll probably use this style and tools from now on :)
I used one texture, it was from picmonkey.com... But I meant brush textures like Bristle and Spread or dry brush! Those helped a lot :) I didn't use the water tool as much either^^
I'm glad that you had fun with this! this painting looks so gorgeous! XD
Oh so you used some textures? I still like that you were able to break that smooth look! XD I guess experimenting with brushes also helps!
THANKYOU!!! Kyaaaa Toya!! ^_____^ I'm so glad!! I did have fun with this one :) I do like it more then my others too x)
Thanks! Yea I didn't know how to get past that smooth look but I used the brush tool and found some textures I had downloaded a while ago that worked well!
I am so glad you like this, thankyou sosososo much!!!!! *HUGS*
Thankyou so much!!
Oh you should try it out!! I used THIS colouring tutorial to get me started on digital painting :) I hope it helps you too! (I hope I didn't link it to you earlier, I've linked it up quite a lot so I can't remember who has seen it already xP)
LOL!!! Ok first off, your comment was one of the best in the world!! You are so kind and also gave me really good advice...
I'm so glad that you think my realism artwork is good enough to look like I copied it straight from the photo xD Actually for practice before, I used to copy some images on Colours 3D (a 3DS game) and that was even harder then eyeballing a reference xP
Its not as hard as it looks tho as well... It gets rather relaxing and fun especially when everything starts coming together!
Thankyou so much for your nice comments always!
Now, I really wanted to thank you for your comments on my actions... You are right. I've always been worried about bragging and also I self-criticize. But thats true, I'm sorry for doing that as well... I'm actually proud of what I'm doing but I do get nervous when posting still! LOL
Oh no, you weren't lecturing me!! Thankyou for letting me know that cuz it has encouraged me and I'm gonna keep it in mind for sure^^
You always support me and help me out and I'm so grateful to you!!! <3

You need to have a bit more confidence in your ability Manga-chan. I know that a lot of people go over the top and get a big head, but you can still have a big head and not much ability. Of course, I know there's a difference between being critical of your own work because it's yours and you know all the little details that weren't quite right.
