Oh, I get it. Kinda a weird setup though.
Eh, realism's not for me either. And stuff worth the money is always good!
You could be an art teacher, or maybe a graphic designer, or an illustrator, or a professional artist, or maybe even an art critic! There're a lot more options out there than you think. And art doesn't have to be your full-time job, it could be a side job instead.
At least taking art in school is free. Why pay for something you can learn for free in school? Dance, art, band, orchestra, chorus, a second (or third) language... all those lessons cost a lot, but they're free if you take 'em in school. Plus not having to pay for art lessons means you can save up for more art supplies.
Wait, your teacher sells you art supplies? How does that work?
Hey, it may be cheap but it works well, right? I do most of my traditional drawings in three dollar sketchbooks. Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it'll work better than the inexpensive stuff.
i feel exactly how you feel. like nobody understood what i meant before this. like you know what you should be thinking, but you don't truly believe it. sorry that had nothing to do with your art. i just needed to be like ERRMERGERRD.
Hang in there, Alex! Many people feel paranoid at some point in life; it's normal to want to be liked by people. Frankly, I think a little paranoia is good for a person. It drives you to work hard so one day you do see yourself as "talented" and "attractive". If you already thought you were "supremely talented", you wouldn't have any desire or motivation to get any better, right? There's a certain balance in the spectrum between arrogance and self-deprecation you have to reach to be comfortable. :)
/idk I'm not a psychologist so feel free to ignore this
I actually like this paper...! xD; It gives a nice texture. :) A lot of drawing doesn't get to incorporate a 3D aspect, so I think it makes the picture visually interesting. Usually only acrylic paintings/etc have an additional 3D quality. Really nice job on the detail in the pants, too. :) Your drawing style is really catchy.

Sometimes I think too much and that destroys any chance for me to see what's right in front of me and go on. Even when I know that that's happening, I follow my thoughts, even knowing they're wrong :s awesome work, I get always surprise about how you can express reality *.*
