In working on this drawing, I was practicing drawing a pose seen in "More How to Draw manga Vol. 4: Mastering Bishoujo Techniques". This pose happens to be how a girl walks when she's feeling excited or cheerful.

The hairstyle is inspired by Sayaka Yumi, the lead female in "Mazinger Z", but the hair color scheme is inspired by Rogue from "X-Men".
