okay, so, mostly posting this for a friend...so I guess that makes this a dedication...
Ah, My Baby, the D-4 Battle Cry II - This is a testament to how into the gummi ship area of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II my friend (I think Kakashi16 here if she's still on) and I got. I built them mainly though, she just brought her memory card over and told me what she wanted. I did a whole designation system on these things, with a basis in aviation as some of you may notice if you're an airplane freak - like I am (born and bred, lol) if you can't read the scrawling, I'll retype it here with expalnations for my madness beneath-
*ahem*
Specification: D-4 Battle Cry II
Type: (left over from it's presence in a fanfic I attempted - i.e. useless info) it says - "Destroyer class interworld transport" essentially
Powerplant: Four Vernier/G compact Engines
Armament: Two, front-mounted Fira/G cannona, one front and one rear-mounted Thundara/G Lazer units, one rear-mounted Blizzard/G cannon
extra crap I wrote (also related to the failed fanfic)
"Ship is A.D.U. compatably, and is equipt with Formation Change A.D.U. communication system" - what the heck is an A.D.U.? A less "happy" sounding name my friend and I made up for the "teeny chips" in KHII where this ship is from; A.D.U. stands for "Auxiliry Defensive Units"
Explanations -
What Does the "D" in D-4 stand for? "Destroyer" - in our system we made up, any ship with four or more cannon/lazer units qualifies as a "Destroyer class" ship - likewise, any ship with two to three guns and three or more engines was an "A" class, or "Attack class", a ship with two to three guns and no more than two engines was an "F" or "fighter class", and A ship with one or no guns was classified depending on it's number of engines, one to two engine was a "T" or "General Transport" class, three or more engines would quilfy the ship as an "R" or "race class" ship. I don't know why anyone would wish to make a ship with no guns, but hey, if they did, we have a designation! lol additionaly, if you were merely testing a ship that fell into any of these catagories, but weren't sure if you were keeping it, you would attach an "X" in front of the ship's class-identifiying letter, example, if you are testing a new destroyer, say, a "D-5" you would add "X" in front of it "XD-5" - the "X", as in aircraft, stands for "expiramental" to the designation could be read literally as "Expiramental Destroyer 5"
if you wonder why it is D-4 Battle Cry II - that's cause I had an original "Battel Cry" in KHI - that was the "D-1" I then made two destroyers between that one and this one, my friend's two ships she wanted - D-2 Firestorm (KHI) and D-3 Firestorm II (KHII), hence why the foruth destroyer I made was D-4.
- last of all, an expiramental ship in our system wouldn't be give it's name until it had proved to be a successful design, meaning that "Battle Cry II" was simply "XD-4" before it "completed" it's testing.
and now you've seen the extent of our KH - Nerd-age XD...Sigh, I miss my Battlecry II! LOVED how it came out looking stealthy - As a daughter of a Lockheed emplyee, I was quite proud! XD
