I finally conquered the conflict of Sherlock's hair, woohoo! >8D

As you probably know, I've recently discovered the awesomeness that is Sherlock Holmes. I saw the 2009 movie back when it first came out, but didn't realize how much I loved it until a few weeks ago when I rented it again. After that, I went out and bought The Complete Novels and Stories, and now I've definitely got a new fandom. And when there's fandom, fanart is always close by.

I originally drew this out after school one day, and then scanned it in and colored it with mah tablet. It took around 2 and a half hours, but I really like how it turned out. I tried to do a background this time, I really did, but as you can see, it didn't work out. 8D; Hence why there is a random standing Holmes resting on a random floating brick wall, which was going to be the staircase up to 221B, but I gave up on that real quick.

Used a bit of reference for the hair and clothes and things from a picture my friend was nice enough to cut out for me.

I'm hoping to have a lot more Sherlock Holmes fanart (and possibly fanfiction? Eh? Eh?) in the near future. Hopefully I'll be able to master Watson's hair/epic!mustache too.

Oh, and the title = tagline for the movie. Yaaay.

Now to go read more of A Scandal in Bohemia. <3
