for jeweloflife's challenge prove your improvement. my b4 drawing was done about a year and a half ago. the "after" drawing was done just for the challenge.

From a scale of 1-10, how have you improved in quality/skill?Why?
i'd say a 6. because when i compare my older drawings to the newer ones, although i still see alot of things i could fix, i can see improvment in quality.

How has your understanding of art techniques and such developed?
well, i've come to understand alot of techniques a whole lot better. the ppl i draw are better proportioned, i've improved my shading skills somewhat, and now i think that my drawings have more "life" in them overall.

What have you learned?
ive learned that evryone has their strengths and weaknesses. and that i should pursue my personal drawing style instead of imitating others. (like i used to do).

What inspired you to improve?
all my art used to be random. id show my parents but they'd always praise my drawings. (as if my parents would critize my work). since i never had constructive critizism my art never really improved. but since i joind TheO i've had alot more reasons to keep improving. for ex: the challenges. they've pushed me so that i better myself. (friendly rivalry works wonders ^-^)

Any tips for those wishing to improve themselves?
no one is born good. if you wish to improve always practice and try to get as much constructive criticism as possible so you can see your weaknesses and try to better them. also observing other artists as they work has helped me alot. even if they don't do manga style it still helps. and last, snap pix of things in the real world to help you improve your art.
