So, yeah, I chose Lelouch Lamperouge as my favorite anime character.

Description: Lelouch is the son of the Emperor of Britannia, Charles zi Britannia, which makes him the Eleventh Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire. His mother was assasinated when he was young, and his younger sister, Nunnally, was also left blind and crippled. At just 10 years old, Lelouch confronted his father (the Emperor of Britannia) about his lack of concern and, in response, his father banished him to Japan.

So, basically, his mother's death and his father's apathy drove Lelouch to want to create a better world (especially for Nunnally). And, to achieve his goal, Lelouch is willing to go to any means. His whole mindset is that he is willing to do evil in order to destroy an even greater evil. (Pretty crazy, huh?)

So, why is he just so awesome?: Well, despite being willing to do bad things to people, Lelouch has good intentions- he just goes about achieving them the wrong way. The twisted-ness of that alone is pretty cool to me. (He's sort of like Light from Death Note in that way.) He also has this special ability called Geass. Geass allows him to plant commands into a person's mind upon eye contact and they will obey without question. Oh, yeah, and he's also really smart; he has genius-level intellect. Gotta love brains.
