Anthon 
WHEN SUDDENLY, new character.
This is a character I made for a joint story/role-play/fun thing I'm making with Iiwi from deviantART. (Iiwi has a theO profile here,but she's more active on dA.) Iiwi came up with the basis of the plot and the love interest character, and so far all I've done is make this guy. 8D; Iiwi and I have very different interests in stories and approaches to storytelling, but I think it'll be a lot of fun to work with topics outside of my comfort zone. c: I'm looking forward to seeing how my character and her character's story will play out. .3.
Here's a little character profile to take up the rest of these footnotes:
Name: Anthon (pronounced like "Anton"; I also haven't thought of a last name yet. xD;)
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Nicknames: None, at the moment
Height: 5'11
Special Talent: Acting, and has some skill with philosophy (studied both in college)
Hobbies: Watching live productions, reading interesting/non-boring books, going to museums, frequenting artsy/poetry cafes
Likes: : Music, art, philosophy, theater, movies, "creative things", "inspiration", hot tea
Dislikes: Politics, math and science, taxes, boring people (though his view of "boring" is very broad)
Personality: Passionate about his interests and generally viewed as a charismatic and friendly person; extroverted with an ability to be friendly and entertaining to others, but does not comprehend how to be caring or empathetic; has a huge ego which stems from his natural abilities and good luck; often associated with the "hipster" image
Love Interest: Luca (Iiwi's character)
Sexual Orientation: Does not personally identify with any sexual orientation, but would be classified as bisexual or pansexual by others.
There are still lots of holes in Anthon's story, but what I have for now is that he's a theater professor at some college. He's usually seen as "that cool drama professor," and is popular with the students. He speaks to people with energy and persuasion, and people generally are attracted to him because of his charismatic and appealing personality.
Though he is friends with a lot of his students and peers, he does not have an emotional attachment or connection with any of his friends. He holds himself as the most important person in his life.
He also puts himself on a higher tier from his peers (? weird syntax;;;), and sees his views/opinions/likes/dislikes as better or more intelligent than others. Because he's not the most empathetic of people, he has difficulty understanding that people have different opinions from his own, and often assumes that people think and view topics the same way that he does.
Anthon meets Luca, a young rising music star, in several dreams. The two of them discuss Luca's lyrics in Anthon's dreams, which Luca uses for her band's songs. The two of them arrange to meet, and... Iiwi and I are going to work it out from there. xD

What helped me most with making this character for some reason was the song You're So Vain by Carly Simon. I thought it'd be interesting to make an egotistical character who's still endearing to some degree. The line "Your hat strategically dipped below one eye/Your scarf it was apricot" gave me ideas for Anthon's appearance, too. xD So now he wears a fedora and wears a scarf.... ahaha. Idk where the stubble came from, though. :m Just thought I'd try something new. xD
This story with Anthon and Luca is going to be different from what I normally work on because it involves a positively viewed age-gap relationship (Luca is 19/20, Anthon is 35), and involves fantasy aspects in a modern-era (communicating in dreams). Iiwi also is a fan of dark themes, so I'm probably going to explore darker story concepts when working on these characters with her. :m Overall, I think it'll turn out to be an interesting story! I also probably won't post much about Anthon here on theO since Iiwi is active on dA. xD
