Today's OCtober challenge is "An OC who is an elder". Hoki isn't aging yet - among his people he'd still be considered to be in his prime - but he has a few centuries under his belt and a deep, ancient, earthy wisdom about him. He is one of the Silturen - the Tree People - who roam the woodlands of Silen Fah, guarding the plant and animal life there. The creation story says they were made from the trees themselves, and Hoki takes this very seriously. Sometimes he speaks to the trees as if they are his old friends... or are they?

Dedicated to S M Pendragon, who dubbed this man "Hokey Boy" before I'd even thought of a name. He is, in fact, quite hokey.
