i dont remember what i used here.. XD i have crayola, staedtler, prisma and unnamed brand.. personally, i think all of them give similar effect.. they all just have their own unique features like crayola is hard and rough while prisma is soft and smooth but depending on how u use them, u can get the same quality by variation of pressure and the way u handle ur tools.. *^^*
I color soft? Ha ha ha, I really ...didnt know that. But I guess I do once I think about it. The only time I color roughly is when I use white to blend everything together, ha ha ha.
yes.. i tried that too but it's smudgey texture isnt really complimenting other parts of my coloring.. if u've noticed, most of my colorings are pressured and rough in texture sometimes so if i erase it, the erased part will become a bit blurry and then the difference will be more likely seen immediately.. it's the same with my shaded works.. XD but ur technique really works for u.. coz u color soft.. gah.. i've been trying to color softly too but they always.. always end up being dark and solid.. >x<"
*yoink* I shall use this to further my own skills! Thanks so much for sharing this with us Otaku. :) I've been looking for good quality color pencil tutorials. ^_^
You suprisingly color hair very similar to me...but different after step two, ha ha ha. Like I get all these different colors and mix them together but yes...they do all start out light. And then I just use an earaser to make the shine...but I suppose your version works for you, ha ha ha. But...mines faster! Bah! jk.
this one u can try out many possibilities.. curves, straights, shapes, etc.. my lineart is already defined so u just need to concentrate on coloring.. *^^*
if ur asking for which part of the picture u should start first, i usually start on their bangs and work my way up to their head then down to the edge of their hair length.. well, it's really upto u where u want to start off.. *^^*

if ur looking for a character that u should try working on first. u can use my lineart for practice.. *^^*
a really simple lineart..
this one u can try out many possibilities.. curves, straights, shapes, etc.. my lineart is already defined so u just need to concentrate on coloring.. *^^*
