Vagevuur- /ˈva.ɣə.ˌvyːr/ (Dutch) purgatory; in Roman Catholic theology, the place where those who have died in a state of grace undergo limited torment to expiate their sins.
It is pronounced like Vagh-heh-vyur for those who aren't familiar with IPA.
