Mother's Day has just passed us by, and Father's Day will be here sooner than you know it. That said, here's the challenge:

Write a scene between a character and their parent.

That's it! Any character, any parent. Humor, angst, whatever. I'll even take adoptive parents or "father figure" types. Does the character you like to write about have parents who are dead? Even better! Anything goes. Just make sure that:

1. It's a one-shot.
2. You let me know the anime and the characters.
