Madeline was left confused as she aimlessly followed House and Chase out of Cuddy’s office. They were now in the patient’s room, desperately trying to hold the patient down and stop her from trying to attack Foreman. Madeline had never been so confused in her life, as they had left her uninformed and did not acknowledge her during the entire event.

She felt her head getting light as she watched the patient’s eyes continue to spout crimson onto the white bed sheets. A wave of nausea crashed over her, as she felt her stomach fold over. Her throat began to close, leaving her gasping desperately for air.

Foreman noticed the distressed doctor lean against the metal cart next to the bed.

“Don’t just stand there! Grab the sedative for me!”

She looked up at him, beet red in the face. Her forehead contained warm beads of sweat that started to drip down. She felt dizzy as she watched Foreman, making failed attempts to get a few words out.

“Hey, are you okay?” Foreman asked. He was still struggling with the patient beside House and Chase, but briefly glanced at her pause in question. House studied the way her head bobbed up and down slowly, like a small plastic ball in a bowl of water.

It was then he finally understood that something was gravely wrong, when Madeline finally fell onto the floor, as her head hit against the edge of the silver cart along the way.
