Rhythm Creme Of Rolo

Rhythm

Roll Sighed as she stared up into the gray sky. Birds chirped in the tress, frogs and crickets joining in. She sat alone watching the waves crash up onto the bottom of the cliff. Trees loomed behind her. She sat at the edge of her clone-no-her brother's grave. Tears streaming down her cheeks. If he was dead, she was dead also. She looked up at the Locket that sat upon the Log. It was placed in the grave as a marker for the body. The body of Rolo Lamperouge. But the dirt had been dug out so you could see Rolo's dead dirty face, soft and already getting ready to decay. Roll was most likely the only human, or, thing that could handle looking at that. Well, either that or an anthropologist. Roll found no difference in the dead from the living. To her they were all the same. She was dead, she was a clone. She had never been living, a mere shadow of two people. A spawn of pointless science. A girl that was messed up in some wacko experiment. Her clone, Rolo, was her only source of life.

She sighed and stood, brushing off some dirt off a Rolo. She had cleaned him up, and filled his grave with flowers. He looked so peaceful. She found tears streaming down her face. The other line of her mind was silent. No more whispers from him, no more jokes, no more plans. Everything that had kept her sane was gone.

'Roll, go back to Nii-san, help him, would you? He has no one.'

Roll's eyes grew huge. "R-rolo?" She bent down on her knees putting her hands on his shoulders. His eyes fluttered open, a sparkling sense in them.

"You heard me." he smiled, "Roll, why are you so upset?"

"Onii-Chan!" She gasped, "Arah, Arah, you may not noticed but your dead, Rolo."

"Yes. But is that all? I was expecting you to dance it off like always!" He laughed but then fell to a horse cough, decaying lungs gasping for air.

"I can't!" She yelped hugging him, "My feet are broken, my rhythms gone!"

"Nonsense Roru-pan. You'll be fine. Go to Nii-san, and help him. I'll always be there in your heart."

"Your my rhythm, Rolo! Don't go!"

"Roll, My heart has nothing but a broken song that never played. Please, go on." and with that his face seemed to immediately fall dead, like nothing had happen. Roll realized her eyes had been closed. She opened them quickly looking at his cold face. She kissed it lightly on the cheek, still holding his body tight.

"Roll?" She turned to see Lelouch standing behind her, wide eyed, "Why did you dig him up? He's dead, his heart stopped. Why are you hugging him?"

"No, Nii-san. He's not dead. He's alive. I can here him, his heart beat." she lay on his chest, her face loosing color, her eyes ganging a black color below them, "He's my Rhythm, as long as I can dance. He's alive. He's holding me back . . .ca . . n't you see . . . his shining face?"

"Roll." Lelouch softened his gaze, "My Imoto." He walked over to her stroking her hair gingerly, gazing at her soft sleeping face.

"I guess she just gave out." He said. Gingerly he placed Rolo's arms around her back, and put a small rose in her hair. He knew she loved flowers. Taking a handful of dirt he spread it across his to siblings. Tears starting to form at his purple eyes.

"I must . . . Make this a peaceful world. Its no more for Nunally's sake.
