Clow Reed's Assistant moonsailor

The moment I woke up, I knew something was wrong. It seemed too bright to be 5:00 a.m. , the time I usually woke up. I sat up and looked at the clock next to my bed.

"5:55!" I screamed. "Why didn't my alarm clock ring?!"

I got dressed and left the house as quickly as possible, not caring that my clothes were wrinkled, or that the back of my hair resembled a rat's nest. Clow Reed, or Clow-San as I preferred to call him, had been very specific when he said he wanted me there by six every morning. As I ran, I wondered why he had chosen me for the job. From the moment I had arrived, I had made one mistake after another. Surely there had to be someone more qualified for the job, but then again, maybe he couldn't find someone else willing to take the job. Clow-San had a reputation for being a little eccentric and unpredictable.

By time I got to his house, it was five minutes past six. Clow-San was waiting for me out front.

"You're late, Tsuki," He said.

"I-I'm sorry, Clow-San," I stuttered. "It won't happen again."

Clow-San sighed and said, "Very well, but let's not waste any more time and get to work."

I nodded and headed to the small room that was my office.

"Here Tsuki," Clow-San said, handing me a stack of cards. "You know what to do, get to work."

"yes sir," I replied, looking for my quill and ink. I noticed the stack of cards was thicker than usual. Maybe this was punishment for being late.

My job was to go over each card, called a Clow card, with a special type of ink Clow-San had made himself. Then I was to paint each card with special type of paint, which Clow-San had also made. I couldn't help but wonder what each card was for. I had asked Clow-San once, but he had only replied, "You do not need to know, yet"

After I had finished ten cards, I leaned back in my seat and took a short break. I took one of the finished cards in my hand. I had finished this one yesterday, and it was my favorite.

"Windy," I said, saying the card name to my self. "That doesn't seem like a fitting name."

Suddenly, I felt a huge gust of wind enter the room. The wind blew the Clow cards straight off the desk, and out through the window, which I had regrettably left open.
