Mom Mad About Manga
Recently, a mother in Crestview, Fla., attempted to lead a protest against the availability of mature manga in the Crestview Public library system after her son "lost his mind" and was "put into a home for extensive therapy" after reading a chapter of the Gantz manga and a volume of Psychic Academy. She went as far as to start a petition to ban the material, but some patrons who signed said the mother may have misrepresented the petition as one to "protest pornography in the library". The library has stated the manga the boy read was put on the shelves for mature readers, but has declined to comment further on the issue. Source Link
