Germany Cracks Down on Fansubs
A group of anime fans in Germany, as well as Viz Media Europe-owned Anime-Virtual, have formed an alliance to crack down on illegal anime fansubs. The group, calling themselves the "Anime Copyright Allianz", stated their primary goal is to educate fans about copyright law and promote respect for anime copyrights in their home country. The group's web site also encourages fans to report sites which have illegal downloads, though they will not enforce legal actions on the reported sites. Source Link
