Comic/television/film writer Dwayne McDuffie passed away last Tuesday due to complications of surgery; he was 49. McDuffie's career spanned over 20 years writing books from Fantastic Four to Justice League of America, and even co-created the character Static Shock (who later moved into DC's mainstream). His final project? Penning the animated adaptation of All-Star Superman, which was just released the same day he passed away. Source Link
