The Metroid Diet
Following the death of her mother, a young gamer named Michelle Perl made a vow of self improvement. A longtime fan of Metroid's Samus Aran, she decided to use the iconic character as a symbol for everything she wanted to be: emotionally strong, physically fit, and able to roll into a tiny ball.
Michelle plastered Samus' likeness on her wall, changed her eating habits, exercised, and when all was said and done dropped over 100 pounds. She now bears an uncanny resemblance to the femme fatale.
