Legal Manga Site Making Progress
Japan's Digital Comics Association has launched a splash page for their legal manga portal. The site, titled JManga, is currently only in beta format, but reportedly has samples of manga titles including Dragonball Z, One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, and Death Note. The site was conceived after the DCA decided to formally take action against several unofficial manga hosting sites last year, and partnered with the official anime-streaming hub site Crunchyroll to develop a legal means for fans to read manga online. A tentative official launch date range is listed as Spring 2011 on the web site.
