Battle Royale Grand Finale! Ed vs. Sailor Moon
This is the most important post in the history of anime and engaging with it is the most important thing you'll ever do as an anime fan. Weeks of voting have led up to this moment: for you to carefully decide which of the following characters deserves our "Best Anime Character Ever" award.
It's down to Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist and Sailor Moon from Sailor Moon. We want you to spend at least five minutes of thinking before casting your vote, don't do it haphazardly. If you're not as familiar with Ed, spend time reading up on him and watching YouTube clips. If you're not as familiar with Sailor Moon, do the same.
Remember, this tournament is NOT a question of who would win in a fight. This is a question of who is more deserving of being named the greatest anime character of all time. There's a major difference.
Before you cast your vote, we ask you to think deeply about each character. Here are some attributes to consider:
- Their back story
- Their personality
- Their physical characteristics
- Their motivation and what drove them
- How they handled difficult situations
- Their ability to grow as a person and challenge previous beliefs
- How they've influenced you personally
- Their emotional complexity
- How they've influenced the anime world
Voting ends at midnight on Friday, June 10th.
