While on the subject of things to keep tabs on, Sony's presentation at E3 also officially announced the name of their new handeld: The PS Vita ("Vee-tah").
Originally codenamed the "NGP" and debuted last January, the Vita is essentially a PSP given steroids and then mated with an iPhone: dual thumbsticks, dual cameras, touch screen, touch pad on the back, motion sensors and Wi-Fi and 3G (for the fancier model) network connection.
Due out the end of this year, the standard Wi-Fi Vita will sell for $249 USD (putting it on par with Nintendo's 3DS) while the 3G/Wi-Fi model will go for $299 USD. Yeah, this'll be a fun year to keep tabs on gaming...
