Rock legend, lead singer for KISS and long-tounged dude Gene Simmons has revealed that in a weekend meeting with his executives, they discussed the possibility of a " KISS-Hello Kitty worldwide deal. Wow."
Hello Kitty herself had previously been immersed in the metal culture when visual-kei icon X Japan created Visual-Kei Kitty, a character with the shock metal, crazy hair styles typical of visual-kei. Gene Simmons has also been there, done that with Japanese culture when he stared as Jack Ill Dark in the live adaptation of Detroit Metal City. It has yet to truly be decided if Sanrio's flagship character will receive the heavy-metal makeover.
