From World Cup to Anime
At a press conference for his recent Soccer Shojo Kaede comic novel, manga artist Youichi Takahashi revealed that he was made an offer to create an anime based on the soccer team Nadesiko Japan, the national team that won the 2011 Women's World Cup. Having already created the soccer manga Captain Tsubasa and the iPhone app exclusive soccer anime Golden Kids, there's little doubt he would be the ideal choice for this project.
