Japan In Talks For Trade Agreement
The Japanese Diet decided on Friday to begin talks that would align the nation to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a free trade agreement for nations bordering or islands of the Pacfic Ocean. This should, as the government predicts, boost trading in the slowed economy of the nation. Prime Minister Noda is expected to meet with the leaders of the ten nations currently comprising the TPP, including President Obama, to convey his wish to enter the TPP. The move has gained opposition from mangaka who say the move will increase copyright laws, virtually eliminating the possibility of dojinshi, or unlicensed fan manga.
