Bella Swan Is Turning Japanese
In case you've been wanting to save yourself some face-palming thus far, you might not know much about Warner Bros' Akira remake. It will be live action, set in New York, and starring Garrett Hedlund (Tron:Legacy) as Kaneda. Kristen Stewart of Twilight fame has been offered the roll of Kei, Kaneda's girlfriend.
It's rumored that Kei's role will be expanded from the original film in the remake.
Other actors are rumored to have been offered parts, but have been, as of yet, unconfirmed, including Gary Oldman and Helena Bonham Carter.
Akira is currently scheduled for a 2013 release date.
