New Sci-Fi Anime From FMA Milos Director
Fate/Zero mangaka Gen Urobuchi, Kamichu! mangaka Hanaharu Naruko, and Full Metal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos director Kazuya Murata are only a few of the names associated with the new Production I.G. anime Suisei no Gargantia. This science fiction tale chronicles the war between humans and an alien race called the Hideous and will release in Japan April 2013. Trailer
Two New Movies By Studio Ghibli's Co-Founders
2013 will be the year of Studio Ghibli as both Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata have announced new movies for next summer. Miyazaki's The Wind is Rising marks his first film since 2008 and recounts the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the creator of a fighter plane during WW2. Takahata, who hasn't released a movie since My Neighbors the Yamadas 14 years ago, adapts the ancient Japanese folktale Princess Kagura, which is about a princess who grows up in a bamboo plant. Ghost in the Shell MMO
Game developer Nexon (Maple Story, Mabinogi) has announced the development of a PC MMO based on the popular Ghost in the Shell franchise.
