Hi everyone!
As you may have noticed, there was no post last week. I figured it'd be good to allow you all a break for Easter. I hope you all had a good time, no matter what you did.
So, here's the next weekly inspiration!
You can pick one or as many of the suggestions as you wish to bring back your artistic flair.

Why Not Try
Photo Manipulation
For those of you who want to try something a little bit different, why not try this art style for a change of pace?
What you will need:
- A photograph (Make sure you have permission to use it first!)
- A digital art program with paint tools and smudge tools, or paints and brushes (This can be done digitally or traditionally!)
First you will need to decide how you are going to try this little experiment, digitally or with paints. I will provde steps for each.
Digital:
First, make sure you are allowed to use the photo in question. You don't want to get in trouble! Secondly, you will need to load it up in a paint program that offers paint tools and smudge tools. Choose what colours you want and lay them over, using the tones and shadows of the original image as your guides. (Think painting by numbers!) Afterwards, go over them with the smudge tool to blend. You will be left with an awesome and abstract image based on the original photo!
Traditional:
Again, make sure you are allowed to use your chosen image. Please don't use original photos for this, print outs are much better! Take your image and lay it on a flat surface. Choose your paints and do as described in the digital directions. Use a brush with plain water and a dry brush to help blend.
TIP: You can use any colours for this. Why not try bold, primary colours to give it a vibrant, abstract feel? And why not give it sharp outlines in black to really make it pop?
Have fun and don't forget to link your works in the comments below!
