Monument To Be Build At Old Mangaka Apartment Site
A monument is set to be built in Toshima Ward in Tokyo to commemorate the manga artists who lived at the old Tokiwa-so apartment that once stood in an area in Toshima Ward. The Tokiwa-so apartment was the home of manga legends such as Shotaro Ishinomori (Cyborg 009), Fujio Akatsuka (Akko-chan), and Osamu Tezuka (Astroboy), before it was demolished in 1982. The monument will be 1.7 meters high and 1.3 meters wide and scheduled to be unveiled on April 4. Source Link
