The labor group Japan Animation Creators Association (JAniCA) revealed in a symposium in Tokyo last Friday that Japanese animators in their 20s earn an average annual salary of 1.1 million yen (US$11,600) whereas those in their 30s earn 2.14 million yen (US$22,600). This was based on a survey conducted among 700 animators and directors in Japan. They also revealed that the industry has an uncertain future since there are not enough young talents being trained. The group then pushed for more collaboration with production companies to improve working conditions. (Source: ANN) Source Link
