Yoshito Usui, the 51-year-old creator of the Crayon Shin-Chan series, has been confirmed dead by authorities after being declared missing since September 11, 2009. His remains were found on Saturday morning below the Tomoiwa cliff in a mountain in Gunma prefecture, which is reportedly the place where Usui went hiking before his disappearance. The remains were identified as Usui on Sunday through dental records and other means. In a related note, the Shin-Chan series will continue to be serialized in Manga Town magazine until its December issue, featuring Usui's two final installments before his untimely death. Our condolences go to the Usui family and friends, and may he now rest in peace. Source Link
