Im not sure how close they are aswell though there is meant to be a Jumbo Chinese resteraunt in Sheffield and there is one where i live so i did check once to see how far away it was and its closer than some other places though not linked by buses ~ Laughs ~ Pretty much it wouldnt have been viable to go there on a day ticket to go to the resteraunt lol! I have a lame sense of direction either so it takes something serious like that to learn where anything is ~ Grins ~ You could try getting your friends to do the protest for you ~ Nods ~ Three anime fans might just be enough lol

Your not actually that far away from me, im near Leeds and there manga can be got from Waterstones (they used to do a 3 for 2 deal so i got a few) i had thought that all Waterstones everywhere would also sell the manga, thats just evil ~ Tuts ~ Then again its only recvently it appeared here, certainly the last couple of yours (thats why i bought nay, i was worried it would vanish right out of the shops again lol)

It was OC i drew first, and that was in junior school. I actually find it harder to draw characters from animes than making up my own :S

I would love to be able to read them face to face, but no local library's here have mangas T_T and i don't know anyone who actually has any, so reading online is my only choice *sigh*

This was ~ Thinks ~ Oh man like 6 or so years ago at the moment i'm into another anime called D Gray Man instead though when i do any artwork its my OC's as well because its much more fun that way ~ Laughs ~ Dont think i ever tried to draw actual charecters but i did an egg holding box thing and a cake with the DBZ logo on them which was kinda fun! Did you start off by drawing your own OCs or by like copying the art of your favourite manga-kas?

I get my manga from the local library or something from someone i know from the Netherlands who will send hers over for me! I like to be able to hold the text in my hand instead of looking at the screen though i watch all my anime online!

I've done my original characters, and added an artists (non anime) style to it ^^
For example the angel pic is my own OC's, but the clouds are inspired by an artist i'm researching ^^

That's how i tend to do it. I like to keep my own "uniqueness" on it ^^

I bet you'd have been able to do some awsome stuff with DBZ, you sound like... amazingly dedicated ^^
(i'm more of a manga fan, though it's all read online)

~ Cracks up and applauds ~ Now that must have felt good, i was no good at art in high school so i never got anything on display, though i think i got graphics stuff up but that wasnt about anime...i kind of chickened out! I was going to make it DBZ themed but everyone in that class were anime so i chose not to! Have you ever submitted any art pieces that were based on an anime or is it just the style you used?

True. The thing is, the people who laugh at me are also doing art, and now that our work is being put up in the school display, he told me the arrangements depended on skill...

Sad to know things still havent changes, i used to get insulted as i liked to submit anime themed things for art and design projects, it was Dragonball Z then, glad you havent let them put you off anime though ~ Smiles ~ They wont be laughing or insulting either of us when it takes over the world lol

Not really... the only other possible fans i know of are my mates jack and nick who argue over which OC i've made is the best lol! But that's about it :S
The people who are in my school are majorly anime haters, they don't like the fact that i draw it or whatev but i just ignore em.

It does the same for me as well so i cheated and got Mozilla, for some reason it seems to work with that, it doesnt seem to take up much room either or change anything else! That said others tried it and it didnt work ~ Shakes head ~ Annoying really! You could try it and see if it works? I have no idea how long it will take for the problem to be fixed ~ Sighs ~

I know at least 2 other english people here well on the old MyO, your the first i have met on theO hence the real insane celebration lol

I'm a year of the dog, and apparently I can be a bit perverted. My mom's a dragon and she can be scary (she's even a doctor!) and my dad's a horse (and he can be a bit scary. He hates crowds.) Fruits Basket's creator was right on track for a lot of things about her characters and the years they were born in, wasn't she?
