Or actually go and see some other work and comment and try to find more friends here or to post maybe some of your fan art if you have.
You can too ask Sunhollow to explain you somethings, because she too knows much.
And oh yeah, the best thing would be for you now to change avatar and to post an introduction. Just go to your backroom and there you have introductions. Then post yours and many people will get to know you through that way.^^

Um, I would like to help you, but sadly I am too currently learning how to make them. You could find some tutorials on youtube or similar and the best program for this and that mostly use are GIMP (which is free and actually not so bad program) and Photoshop (which is an expensive beast but also the best).

In your backroom you have there bar called quick submit. Just go over it and find wallpapers and there upload your own. But it has to be your made wallpaper and it has only to be in JPEG format I think. It is the same for other things, except for posts on the worlds where you have to go on the bar post and the actually post.^^
You can too change your avatar if you want. Just go to profile and then avatar. There you have to upload an image that is 100x100 and JPEG.^^

You can find various wallpapers, ecards, fan arts and fan comics here. You can too upload them yourself.
