I am certain the basic black has been done before all over the net. However, I added a little touch to it by adding the Federation logo directly under Kirk, almost like it was on his shirt or something. I considered adding more things, like the words or something else - but I really liked the splash of just a tiny hint of color with the logo and did not want to detract from it.
