What is a Ghost?

A ghost- or spirit- is a trapped soul of one who has passed on. The soul is usually trapped in between dimentions and cannot be set free without exorcism. There are 15 types of ghosts:

Ectoplasm, which usually are unseen to the naked eye- can be viewed after developing a photo and appears as a mist with swirls

Orbs, which, again, are usually unseen to the naked eye, and appear in deveolped photos as blue, green, or clear orbs floating in mid-air.

Vortex, or ghosts that have a distinct funnel shape with a bit of spiraling. Can appear as a long, narrow rod in photos, or can cover a person completely.

Dark entities, or ghosts that make shadows. They appear as Ectoplasm, but are usually dark. They are sometimes though as a demonic presence, but this theory seems to be disproven numerous times.

Appirations, or ghosts that clearly have a form or shape. They are usually sighted in photos near old areas of towns. They have rarely been caught on tape. This is the type of ghost you see in movies and such.

Ghost lights are very commmon- they are lights that have no source and can appear everywhere and anywhere. They have been recorded in almost every area of the world and have been noted in most countries. These are also known as "will-o'-wisp".

Streaming ghost energy appear in photos as streaming light forms. Further research is needed.

Swimmers come out as rods that appear to have a "swimming appearence."

Light rod appear as smaller rods with a yellowish color to them.

Demons are evil entities that like to terorize people. Some are not "evil," but these spirits can cause great harm and are very hard to exorcise. Most people believe this is what Satan is- a demon of the night.

Crowd demonsare entities in photos that come out as strange characters in crowds. Example: a dinosaur-looking mist that seems to be biting someone's head.

Poltergeists are susally not spirits at all- but people, usually teenagers, that seem to have psychic powers that they are unaware of. They can move things around, cause noises, and hurt people. Psychic reasearchers state that "when a poltergerst touches something, it is usually warm or very hot."

Residuel hauntings are ghosts that do not know they are dead. These ghosts do the same things over and over again without realizing it. Most of the time, it is not a spirit that is causing the rukus- it is what psychics call "a recording of an event" i.e. how the spirit died, what they were doing the day before they died, ect.

Spirits are appiritions that are undefined- they can be anything and everything.

Angels are ghosts whos intentions appear to be good- they could be protecting someone from evil, such as a spirit protecting a little girl from a demon. They are also known as "visiting spirits", or spirits that are unseen. You can feel their precence, they can touch you, and you can smell them, such as their perfume. These are most common in historical sights.
