Advertising hotlinking at present is not wanted. Not without my consent. If it was specific, and we could control what was advertised on our site, then sure. Go for it. Full speed ahead, and damn the torpedoes.

HOWEVER.

I do not appreciate seeing a 1) RANDOM link to a world made by a 2) TWELVE YEAR OLD whom 3) I DON'T KNOW.

That's not advertising. That's spam. And although it might be nice for community involvement, I'd rather have people who came to my world see a link out to a site that I would like to see them visit, AND NOT one that not only do I not know about, but I don't even frilling have control over.

Not mad at Adam by any means. This is a clear case of win-some/lose-some. That's all. And the concept can be modified, of course; most obviously to allow premium members to add their own links to that line themselves, or for stuff they want advertised to appear in special boxes on the main site, away from the world section. I wouldn't mind seeing a blurb for an art contest while I was browsing the wallpapers section or over in the chat.

Just not here. Worlds are personal, and should only advertise what their creators want advertised.
