Isn't it odd how "word" and "world" only differ by one letter? I think it's because you can make worlds with words. As in, literally.

New Leader, woah my gods!

Horray hurrah! W is out of the white house and Obama is in! I am sooo happy! I got to watch the inauguration on a big shiny TV at work. It was in HD too, me thinks. And that speech, that sure was something else! Very inspiring. It was like, "Work hard America!" Ganbate(sp?)!
But yeah. A black man, a man dark of skin, a man whose dad was born in... Kenya was it? Him assuming our leadership, in these troubled times. I hope that he'll be legendary in generations to come, not only as the first black president but as a man who righted wrongs and changed this world.

In other news, classes start up again next week. My brother is off to campus once again, I probably won't see him for a few weeks. Ah well, he was getting annoying. I met with one of my new profs today, and he seems really nice. Looks like I'll have to get used to his way of speaking though.

Things, they are good.

Merry Christmas All!

So yeah, the day that people get stuff, give stuff, and be with family.

I got:
from stocking: chocolate orange (yummy), pocky (om nom nom), a chocolate santa, and not much else.

Practical: a lavender piece of fleece (aka a new blaknie), new bath scrubby, a hoddie with a the logo of the college I go to on it.

Games: Animal Crossing: City Folk (hurray!), Electroplankton (I've wanted this since forever)

Books: Tsubasa volume 1, Fruits Basket volume 21, Mushishi volume 5 (which it kinda ironic because I don't have 4 yet.), and a gift card for 25 bucks.

Other: a journal, a butterfly ornament, some Naruto CCG cards, a check for $40

In any case, our Christmas tree, it is up and decorated. And I'm printing a final paper. Long thing, worked hard on it.
I'm done with finals after today! Hurrray! But I'm working Thursday and Friday anyway. And then a half day of work next Monday and after that I'm free till next year! Things, they are good.

You know what's awful?

Writer's block! And I have a paper to revise that's due tomorrow! *pulls at hair*
