Isn't it odd how "word" and "world" only differ by one letter? I think it's because you can make worlds with words. As in, literally.

On "Tales from Outer Suburbia". And some other stuff.

I just finished reading the graphic novel named in the title. Oh, it's haunting and beautiful. Makes me wish some things in there would happen to me... Like discovering a fantastic room in the middle of the house that could be only entered from a hole in the roof. Opposite to outside's seasons, beautiful and quiet. Practically speaking, it would be hard to get to from our house's high roof... but a girl can still dream.

This book got me thinking about the sadness of being forgotten. I am trying to think of a character that would welcome forgotten things into their own special after-world. It would be strictly off limits to living people (of any species). The only ones allowed in would be things such as personified ideas (gods fit under that category), spirits that don't quite inhabit our space, but still rely on our belief in them, and also the Hetalia countries. (Guess what fandom I've been trying to get into recently?)

Cross posted to LiveJournal, btw.
