Response to To Yukigakure - Mamoru
---
Through the slightly crowded shop Keisuke saw Mamoru sitting at a table looking at his phone. He gave Kimiko a glance over his shoulder and motioned for their teammate with his head. She nodded and they pushed their way through the crowd to get to Mamoru. When they got closer Keisuke noticed the plate.
"Oh, you're back." Mamoru smiled. "I ordered us some dango."
Keisuke grinned at his thoughtful friend. He'd never think to buy food for someone else. But that's because he himself rarely paid for anything he ate. Musing to himself he took the seat across from Mamoru while Kimiko sat right next to him.
"Thank you, Mamoru." She said with a cheery smile. "It's weird thinking that Keisuke has such well-mannered friends!"
Clearly implying something, Keisuke glared at her. She had promised not to say anything, but he should've known that she was going to dance around the edges just to fuck with him. And she was just sitting their smirking like the little shit she was while he violently grabbed some dango and nearly impaled her with the stick.
Then Mamoru, not really noticing Keisuke's discomfort, continued to smile. "He really is a bit rude at times, isn't he?"
'They're picking on me!' Keisuke grumbled to himself just as Kimiko flagged down one of the servers.
"Can I get a bottle of sake?" She asked as he approached. He gave her an affirmative nod and walked off, probably to retrieve it.
Keisuke gave her a sarcastic look. "Shouldn't the captain of the squad be the sober one?"
Kimiko rolled her eyes. "Oh, bite me." She said with just a moderately suggestive look. "There're these guys over there I'd like to get to know better. Figured a free drink would be the best way to worm my way into their hearts."
At that last word, Keisuke snorted. "I don't think it's their hearts you're after."
Because he was speaking the truth, Kimiko brought up her hand and gave Keisuke's head a good slap. Despite being assaulted, he just laughed. He liked picking on Kimiko. She always reacted in the most perfect ways. And she was about to go in for another hit when the waiter she flagged down returned with a bottle and three small cups. She just picked up the bottle and wandered off towards a particular rough looking group of men.
Keisuke continued snickering even as he looked back at Mamoru. "Ugh, I should hang out with her more."
"You're not friends?" Mamoru asked innocently enough.
Keisuke shrugged. "More like friends with benefits..." He then gave that a thought. "Err... nevermind. We're not anything to each other. Nothing at all."
"You seem to get along well enough." Mamoru pointed out.
"If you call getting hit getting along." Keisuke chuckled. "Anyway, enough about me and my Kimiko problems, how're things with you? How's the family?"
Mamoru didn't seem to be bothered by the sudden change in topic. "Family's good. Dad's worried about me and the twins are getting tattoos it seems."
The boys both continued to talk about what they've both been doing since they last caught up years ago. Laughing at some events, getting a bit testy at others, mostly Mamoru glaring at Keisuke for picking up his uncles nasty habit of smoking. But, all in all, it was a much appreciated couple of hours.
