Hey everyone!~ So from Kitsune24's post below, do you think you guys want to make some kind of goal to maybe trade with one person in the group over the summer? I think it could be fun but then again, this is just an idea xD Just to stimulate some trading, you know?

Hello everyone!! It's Sayura(aragorn1014) again, how are you all doing? Hopefully you guys aren't as swamped with school work and life like I have been! haha =P
For those that don't like to read long posts, I bolded the parts that are most important xD
So I talked to Unknown-chan a little while back and we were thinking of maybe doing some kind of event closer to the holidays(when more people are free) so that we can have a little more activity around here! We think it'd be a lot more fun if we had some more trading happening...and I think that if we had events where people could maybe ASK for what they wanted for their ATC trade, it'd be a lot easier to trade rather than just have people posting such and such and waiting for someone to be interested. It'd be like doing mini art trades kind of, and maybe we can build our own collections this way as well!
First off, Unknown-chan and I were thinking of maybe having you guys pick partners or drawing pairs out of a hat and having each of you guys trade by asking the other person for an ATC of something that you would like. When you've finished your ATCs, you'd post them up on this World so everyone can see them and we can perhaps vote(or maybe Unknown-chan and I will judge..not sure yet) on the best PAIR of ATCs. Not SINGLES, it'll all depend on how hard the pair works on their cards. It'll be really interesting this way, I think, and you guys can maybe get to know each other better. We'll probably make this into a challenge so that you all can submit to your portfolios AND post up on here so we can comment on each others' cards AND you'll get a shiny medal with it haha. The prize will probably be us sending you a drawing(not ATC lol I think you deserve more than that xD) of your choice by mail or posting it up if it's done digitally~ you'll get to choose!
I remember last time when I posted up that we had some comments regarding people feeling a bit uncomfortable with giving out their addresses and also with the problem that the community on theOtaku is smaller, leaving the possibility of probably there being a much younger group here(like 13 years old etc). If you're uncomfortable with giving out your address to trade/are too young to, but you still want to be a part of the club, then I think what might be best is if you just post up, or send a scan of your card to the person by PM here. That way you can still trade, even if it isn't by snail mail, and the concept still works. For those that are fine with giving out their addresses, that's great. I still think anybody can pair up with anybody for the challenge, but I don't know, let us know what you guys think on that.
But anyway regarding the challenge, what do you guys think of the idea? We'll probably do it closer to the holidays so everyone will have a chance to participate. Suggestions, ideas and comments would be great if you guys have anything to add! I think it's also a pretty good opportunity to promote the club and give a show of what we do here =) The idea is still in the works so Unknown-chan and I are kinda working on it lol but it'd be great if we could have everyone's input.
And finally, who is still a part of this club? LOL. It's been so dry lately that it's kinda hard to see who's still in and who isn't xD Comment if you're still in!
I'm really going to try and start promoting this club a lot more when I get back from my hiatus in around December maybe when the event might be happening, but it all depends on when everyone thinks a good time might be to do something like this. We probably really oughta work on promoting this club a lot more if we want this to be a bigger event, so I think if we tried doing it this way, it'd be helpful to expanding this club and getting more members and much larger events! Post on your World, on fanarts/wallpapers/e-cards that you submit, or PM a few friends that you think might be interested! The point is to trade, meet new people and have fun, and I think if we work together, we can really do that!
So comment if you please with your ideas/suggestions/comments! Let's see if we can make this club work! =)
