February 19th '09 - College Papers SUCK

I had a test today in my Art class and I figured, "Hey, it won't be so bad. It is an open book test so it shouldn't be that hard." And then I get into class and he hands us the test. I look at it. Nine essay length paragraphs and one list.

...

WHAT?! I swear to gosh my hand was a freakin' noodle before I left class today. >_<;

So...anime today. Last Saturday, I attended an anime convention in Evansville, Indiana known as EVille Con. It was its very first convention (and it was awesome!) and they had an anime viewing room. There were titles showing that I had seen before such as Ouran High School Host Club, Azumanga Daioh, and The Wallflower. But there was another title I had been interested in after seeing in Best Buy known as Black Blood Brothers.

This series is pretty awesome, at least what I've seen. The premise of this series is that during a way known as the Hong Kong war, an Old Blood named Jiro Mochizuki (also known as the Silver Blade/Sword) fought and killed the Kowloon King and the Kowloon Children. Ten years later, Jiro travels with his younger brother Kotaro to the Special Zone, a city where vampires can live in secret. Jiro soon realizes that the survivors of the Kowloon Children are trying to create an uproar to get into the secret city. Jiro has to fight off the Kowloon Children and people from his past to ensure the safety of the Special Zone.

I have really fallen for this series. It's pretty good and the English dub is very well done. J. Michael Tatum (Kyouya Ootori, Ouran High School Host Club) lends his talents to Jiro, while Kotaro is portrayed by Leah Clark (Suzuka Asahina, Suzuka). The Compromiser, Mimiko Katsuragi, is voiced by Colleen Clinkenbeard (Riza, Rose, Fullmetal Alchemist) and the vampiress who asks for Jiro's help, Kelly Wong is voiced by Monica Rial (Kyoko Kirisaki, Black Cat).

My friend bought the DVD soon after we got back from the convention and she's also bought the second one. I can't wait to see more of it! ^____^

Thanks for reading guys. Hope to see ya'll next post!

February 18th '09 - Sometimes I regret being so obsessed with Naruto...

Okay...I'm not that big of a Naruto fan (looks at her painting, seven posters, bag) Alright, maybe I am. Naruto was one of my first anime series that I watched only in Japanese. (That was back when I watched fansubs...I regret it now, of course)

The point of this blog is to explain the Narutarded scene I had in my Sociology class. We were discussing groups, bonds and how important relationships are to socialization. So, he (my teacher) discusses the group of two people and if one was taken away, the other would be very lonely. Then he moves on to the group of three and guys, this is no joke. My teacher said it just like this:

'Alright, so we have a group of three. Let's say these three have been friends for a long time, probably since childhood. When they're older, one of the three decides he doesn't want to stay in the group any longer and leaves for another. The two left over will inhertly become closer, but they will also probably give chase to the person and try to reconnect the bond lost. However, society will probably try and force the two friends left over to bond with another person to replace the one they lost.'

Uh, hello? If you're a Naruto fan and you don't get the reference above...there's something wrong with ya.I'm dead serious.

*sigh* I wonder if I'll ever go to class and not see an anime reference considering next class we're studying what the world would be like (like how peaceful it would be) if there were no criminals around.

:D

See ya'll around!

February 17th '09 - The End of the Beginning...of the End?

I tried to make a fancy title, but it didn't work. XD Oh well. So...what's up, theO members? It's been so long since I joined here that I just decided to make a new account. I remember when this place was so small that there were only a hand ful of people and only about maybe 1,000 wallpapers. This website has grown so much during my absence. I really like the new features, especially this idea of a blog. But how to do edit the header up there? I can't seem to find out how...

Alright, this is an introduction post, so I guess I should tell you all something...hm. Maybe I can fill out a survey or something. *goes searching* Ha! I found something. So here's a survey to get you at least a little interested in me.

AH!!! I love this series to bits! I've been rewatching this series (as a matter of fact, I'm watching the first DVD at this moment ) and I love it so much! I know the plot is so simple and repetative, but the series itself is so cute. <3 My favorite character is Wolfram von Bielefelt, the cute blonde on the far right.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion/R2
External Image

This series SUCKS. nah, i'm only kiddin' I love this series a lot. The drama, romance, mystery, comedy, suspense...I'm a sucker for all of that and this series made me fall in love with it. My favorite character of this series is Lelouch Lamperouge, the awesome hottie in the front. (He's the only main character in an anime that I actually like) XD

Ouran High School Host Club
External Image

Who doesn't like this series? I'm serious; I think Ouran is the Haruhi Suzumiya of this half of the decade. I love everything about this anime and the characters are just so easy to love. The comedy is so on purpose that its impossible to call it cliche and its just so great. Though, this series can also take itself seriously. Tamaki Suou is my favorite character in this series, with Kyouya Ootori being a close second. <3

Get Backers
External Image

Get Backers is such an awesome show. i say awesome too much Dx This series premises itself to be such a predicable show, but with a cast full of guys, you expect to be predictable shounen pumped show, but I've never seen so many emotional guys. XD They're so cute together. My favorite character in this series is the one that looks like a girl up there. His name is Kazuki Fuuchouin. :D

And last on this short list....

Vampire Knight
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d77/MimoriKiryu520/vampireknight1.jpg

mimori's a hypocrite I know I won't watch fansubs, but this series was just so hyped up and I really wanted to see it after reading that manga that I couldn't wait. I watched the first season, but I refuse to watch the second. Dx I'll wait until its licensed. My favorite character in this series is the angst, emo ridded Zero Kiryuu. =D

...I think that's enough for an introduction! Hope to see ya'll next post!
