It's a contentious issue, and I think one with no single solution because there's no single problem to locate definitively. Those comments and observations highlight my claim. Nevertheless, those kinds of deliberations are helpful in building and making informed democratic decisions: Get people talking, then slowly make their way to clarity.

This is a very good point. Ultra conservative politics at work.
