Hi! My name is K.D., although most online know me as misachan83. I'm 32, and am an author and anime lover. Welcome to the shadows of my creative and sometimes odd mind

Nothing like surprises

So, on a better note then most things for me right now, I've found that having a FB author page is pretty good when you're able to share it in a group of other authors. I've actually gotten over twenty more likes for my page so far, which hasn't really happened since I made it in November of 2013. I do feel pretty happy over it, so I just wanted to share and say that I am If anyone's interested in at least giving it a look, please do. I'm not asking for anyone to like it. Just thought that maybe some would like to see where I share my thoughts and stuff for my books and all. Well, I hope everyone sees it that way, considering how I do like talking about this stuff here and there, and it's a happier subject then I've kind of felt lately.

Anyway, here's the link if anyone's interested here

Something Random

So sometimes I just have random thoughts, and recently, I’ll admit that I’ve been diving back into ghost stories. I love reading true ghost stories, even though that might sound a little weird. I guess there’s just a piece of me that wants to believe that there is more after we pass on from this life. Personally, I would think that it would be comforting to believe that there is more, and not all ghost stories are scary. Actually, I’ve read some very comforting ones, and experienced a comforting one or two of my own. I wonder how many others out there have had the same things happen to them…

Yes, I’m just musing here, but sometimes it’s fun

Just a little update on life

So I just thought I'd talk about life in general, if anyone's interested. Sometimes it's nice just to talk a bit, you know?

Anyway, I had been going through a sever depressive spell for the last few days, which has thankfully started to lift again. I really hate them, but thankfully, they do pass with me not doing anything that I may regret. That's part of the reason that it's nice to be in a place like here, considering that you can share feelings and all and not be judged. Also, doing the wallpapers and art have helped, not to mention seeing what others have done. It always puts a smile on my face to see all of the different things. The work is just so beautiful and creative

I've also gotten into working on my latest book during the night time too, which has helped some. Thankfully the tiny writer's block of 'where do I go next?' seems to have passed too. Although I can't call life great by any stretch of the imagination, there are some good things that I can keep holding onto.

Well, that's all I can say for now. Thanks for being interested and also for any input or kudos on my recent works. It's wonderful to hear from all of you *hugs*

A little conflicted

So I really enjoyed doing the wallpaper Promise of a Lifetime for the recent AMV wallpaper challenge, and I will admit that it's inspired me with some more. But I've also found that I've been conflicted about one that I'm seriously thinking about because there's kind of an emotional connection to the whole story behind the characters with the song and all. The big thing that it kind of focuses on is that you've lost someone you dearly loved but you know that there still there and you're never alone, if that makes sense. Like Alois, I lost a brother, although he was much older then me. And I've also lost my dad in the last three years. So the emotional connection to the story and song is definitely there. I'm kind of hoping that I can bring myself to do the wall though. It's a beautiful video with a beautiful song, and either way sends a strong message through my soul.

Snow Days and Debates

So, as a good portion of the Northeast was involved in yet another snowstorm yesterday, I found myself at home stuck inside with two kids, ages eight and three. Thankfully, my eight year old daughter enjoys some anime like I do (loves Sailor Moon and Kamisama Kiss), so we ended up watching some to pass the time. Well, she also likes some episodes from the first season of Kuroshitsuji, considering I monitor which episodes she's allowed to see for content, and while we watched some, my husband and I got talking about the second season. (BTW, my daughter will not be allowed to watch that season for a few more years, considering a good deal of the content.)

Anyway, so we got talking about Alois Trancy and his past and all, and how his real name is Jim Macken and he was originally an orphan who tricked others into thinking he was the Earl Trancy's long lost son. Hopefully everyone reading this has seen this anime if they're interested, so I'm not spoiling. Well, my husband mentioned that he probably could've been the real Alois because he both looks like the Countess Trancy, and him and his little brother Luka look nothing alike. Here's the scenario that surprisingly could fit, although I do keep in mind that even Grell said in the anime that his real name is Jim Macken. This is just food for thought and probably could make an awesome fanfiction of what if:

As we all know, Alois Trancy was supposed to have been kidnapped soon after his birth, and in dispair, his mother killed herself. Now, what if the kidnapped Alois was in turn given to someone in that little village who wanted a child because the Earl would not pay a ransom? Food for thought there, considering the Earl Trancy was a beastly man who abused boys.

Another odd little thing, although this can be the result of genetics as we probably all know, is the fact that Jim and Luka really look nothing alike, at least to me. Also, Jim has the same eyes and hair as the Countess. Again, this could just be coincidence, as some genetic traits are supposedly repressed then inherited. Yes, I'm getting technical in an anime, but that just has to be said with this odd little subject. But on a lighter note while on this subject of the brothers, I will say that I adore Luka Macken. One of the cutest anime kids ever.

Third thing that played into this debate was the way the earl reacted to Jim when he first saw him. He had a sudden, violent reaction to his eyes, calling them filthy. Speculation, but could that be for the hated memory of his late wife? That could fit too.

Well, long post for something that I really haven't seen debated online, but we found it to be an interesting discussion while stuck inside during a snowstorm. Hopefully no one found this too boring.

Oh, and here's a reference picture for the subject
