Currently Watching...sorta

Somehow I've managed to increase the number of anime on my watching list, rather than decreasing it as was my intention. Of the last batch of shows that ended not that long ago, I was up to 6: Jormungand, Hyouka, Tsuritama, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, and Medaka Box (Plus non-airing Genshiken 2)

This time around, it's somehow jumped to 8:

Watching Haruhi Suzumiya has now become a summer habit of mine.

The only one that's continuing from the previous is Hyouka, which is 21 episodes (and Jormungand won't return until this fall. Medaka Box, too, I think.) Hyouka is a kind of subdued genius which takes some getting used to. If you don't like slowly paced anime, steer clear of this. If you enjoy subtle story telling, attention to detail, and overall a very nuanced slice-of-life anime, then check it out; it's rewarding if you stay with it. (Did I mention the strangely cheesecake ED?)

I too was wondering who is IMOUTO!? So far, I've yet to actually watch Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru!, but I'll check it out tonight (and then, likely, shake my head and feel kinda ashamed of myself).

The 1st ep. of Muv-Luv: Total Eclipse is decent, but I can't say much more than that, since I've only seen the 1st ep. But if it gives me mecha action and angsty youth, I'm in for the ride.

Arcana Famiglia is okay, though fairly typical shonen stuff so far. Imagine Naruto as Italian mobsters, and you'll get the idea.

YuruYuri♪♪ fulfills my need for mindless entertainment and cheap laughs. It does its job well!

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita has now given me a bread phobia. Obviously a weird and wonderful favorite, to say the least. Great OP and ED, too.

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate might be the weakest of all of 'em so far. The 1st ep. didn't impress me, so I'm not exactly waiting impatiently for the next episodes.

Whew, and to think I actually dropped one before I started it! I don't even remember which one it was, but seeing what some of you are watching, I don't think it was on any of your currently-airing lists either. Now to try and catch up with all of 'em...
