During that whole experience, there's a NASA tradition (superstition?) of eating peanuts for good luck on a mission. Of course, I had some and enjoyed a bowl of 'em, as I suspect many others did too. It was just another small touch were you felt engaged with others worldwide, joined purely by, well, wonderment and curiosity.
