Triumph of the Kids

Today I was browsing a library's catalog for something to borrow, and I placed requests for a few items. Where one of the items was shelved stuck me as odd, considering what it was I borrowed: Leni Riefenstahl's Nazi propaganda classic Triumph of the Will, which was shelved in "junior audio-visual."

On a different note, I've been watching Muv-Luv: Total Eclipse, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who picked up on the nationalism. I can't say too much about it now, since I'm not really sure what in the world Muv-Luv is trying to communicate with it. I'll wait a couple of more episodes until I can get a better grip of what's going on there. Oddly enough, when I watched the first two episodes it made me think Muv-Luv was a distant cousin to Gunbuster!, when it now seems more appropriate to think of it as being related to Starship Troopers. Whatever the case, I don't think I can take it too seriously, since it appears there's some swimsuit episodes coming up. I love me some beach blanket jingo.
