The Fall Anime Season

Just a quick post on what I've picked up and will likely pick up in this season's shows.

Coppelion: Even though the 1st ep. played out in the daylight, something about its tone struck me as unnerving. There was danger somewhere, but it wasn't exactly something localized, in one spot - it was everywhere and nowhere. I hope it keeps that unsure feeling, as it's somewhat effective.

Kyoukai no Kanata: This has promise, I think. The humor seems to be in the same neighborhood as Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!, and that's not a bad thing. Again, it has potential.

Kill la Kill: OMG, IT'S THE RETURN OF GURREN LAGANN!!!!! Okay, let's not lose our heads, fandom; it seems to have the same spirit, but let's not mistake spirit with volume. This could very well turn out to be little more than a hyperactive Medaka Box, which few would notice due to the sheer bombast in the 1st ep. Still, bombast and enormity themselves do have something going for them, which is why Kill la Kill succeeds in turning heads.

I'm also adding Gingitsune and likely Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova to my current list. If I'm lucky, these two will also show some potential, or at the very least, won't make me completely regret my life spent in their company, haha.
